The Misers سُورَةُ المُطَفِّفِينَ

  ١ وَيْلٌ لِلْمُطَفِّفِينَ
 ﴾ 1 ﴿ Woe (Wai'lun) to the misers (Lil' Mutoffifiin)*,
  ٢ الَّذِينَ إِذَا اكْتَالُوا عَلَى النَّاسِ يَسْتَوْفُونَ
 ﴾ 2 ﴿ who (Ellaziina), when (Izaa) they agglomerate (Ek'taalu') from (Älaa) people (En'Naasi), they take full share (Yas'taw'fuun),
  ٣ وَإِذَا كَالُوهُمْ أَوْ وَزَنُوهُمْ يُخْسِرُونَ
 ﴾ 3 ﴿ but (Wa) when (Izaa) they measure for them (p) (Kaaluu-hum’) or (Aw) weigh for them (Wazanuu-hum’), they cause loss (Yukh'siruun).
  ٤ أَلَا يَظُنُّ أُولَٰئِكَ أَنَّهُمْ مَبْعُوثُونَ
 ﴾ 4 ﴿ Do (A-) they (U'laaika) not (-laa) believe (Yazunnu) that they (Annahum) will be resurrected (Mab'uuthuun)
  ٥ لِيَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ
 ﴾ 5 ﴿ for (Li) a terrible (Äziim) day (Yaw'min),
  ٦ يَوْمَ يَقُومُ النَّاسُ لِرَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
 ﴾ 6 ﴿ the day (Yaw'ma) mankind (En'Naasu) will stand (Yaquumu) before (Li) the LORD (Rabbi) of the worlds (El'Äälamiin)?
  ٧ كَلَّا إِنَّ كِتَابَ الْفُجَّارِ لَفِي سِجِّينٍ
 ﴾ 7 ﴿ Nay (Kallaa)! Indeed (Inna), the register (record) (Kitaaba) of the immoral (El'Fujjaari) is in (Lafii) shrouding (Sijjiin).
  ٨ وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا سِجِّينٌ
 ﴾ 8 ﴿ And (Wa) what (Maa) will make you (s) know (Ad'raa-ka) what (Maa) is shrouding (Sijjiin)?
  ٩ كِتَابٌ مَرْقُومٌ
 ﴾ 9 ﴿ It is a numerical (Mar'quum) register (Kitaabun). 1
  ١٠ وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
 ﴾ 10 ﴿ Woe (Wai'lun) to the deniers (Lil' Mukazzibiin), on that day (Yaw'maizin), (77:15)
  ١١ الَّذِينَ يُكَذِّبُونَ بِيَوْمِ الدِّينِ
 ﴾ 11 ﴿ who (Ellaziina) are denying (Yukazzibuuna Bi) the Day of Judgement (Yaw'mi-d'Diin).
  ١٢ وَمَا يُكَذِّبُ بِهِ إِلَّا كُلُّ مُعْتَدٍ أَثِيمٍ
 ﴾ 12 ﴿ But (Wa) none (Maa) denies it (Yukazzibu B-ihi) except (illa) every (Kullu) sinful (Athiim) trespasser (Mu'tadin).
  ١٣ إِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِ آيَاتُنَا قَالَ أَسَاطِيرُ الْأَوَّلِينَ
 ﴾ 13 ﴿ When (Izaa) Our verses (Aayaatu-naa) are recited (Tut'laa) to him (Älai'hi), he says (Qaala), "Tales (Asaatiiru) of the past (El'Awwaliin)."
  ١٤ كَلَّا ۖ بَلْ ۜ رَانَ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمْ مَا كَانُوا يَكْسِبُونَ
 ﴾ 14 ﴿ Nay (Kallaa)! In fact (Bal'), what (Maa) they have been (Kaanu') earning (Yak'sibuun) has predominated (Raana Älaa) their hearts (Quluubi-him).
  ١٥ كَلَّا إِنَّهُمْ عَنْ رَبِّهِمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ لَمَحْجُوبُونَ
 ﴾ 15 ﴿ Nay (Kallaa)! Indeed, they (Innahum) will be (La) partitioned (Mah'juubuun) from (Än) their LORD (Rabbi-him), on that day (Yaw'maizin). (57:13)
  ١٦ ثُمَّ إِنَّهُمْ لَصَالُو الْجَحِيمِ
 ﴾ 16 ﴿ For (Thumma) indeed, they (Innahum) will (La) burn (Soalu') in Hell (El'Jahiim).
  ١٧ ثُمَّ يُقَالُ هَٰذَا الَّذِي كُنْتُمْ بِهِ تُكَذِّبُونَ
 ﴾ 17 ﴿ And (Thumma) they will be told (Yuqaalu), "This (Haaza) is what (Ellazii) you used to (Kuntum) deny (Tukazzibuun Bi-hi)."
  ١٨ كَلَّا إِنَّ كِتَابَ الْأَبْرَارِ لَفِي عِلِّيِّينَ
 ﴾ 18 ﴿ Nay (Kallaa)! Indeed (Inna), the register (record) (Kitaaba) of the pious (El'Ab'raari) is in (Lafii) loftiness (Elliyyiin).
  ١٩ وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا عِلِّيُّونَ
 ﴾ 19 ﴿ And (Wa) what (Maa) will make you (s) know (Ad'raa-ka) what (Maa) is loftiness (Elliyyuun)?
  ٢٠ كِتَابٌ مَرْقُومٌ
 ﴾ 20 ﴿ It is a numerical (Mar'quum) register (Kitaabun). 2
  ٢١ يَشْهَدُهُ الْمُقَرَّبُونَ
 ﴾ 21 ﴿ Those nearby (El'Muqarrabuun) will witness it (Yash'hadu-hu).
  ٢٢ إِنَّ الْأَبْرَارَ لَفِي نَعِيمٍ
 ﴾ 22 ﴿ Indeed (Inna), the pious (El'Ab'raara) will be in (Lafii) bliss (Naeem), (82:13)
  ٢٣ عَلَى الْأَرَائِكِ يَنْظُرُونَ
 ﴾ 23 ﴿ observing (Yanzuruun) on (Älaa) couches (El'Araa'iki).
  ٢٤ تَعْرِفُ فِي وُجُوهِهِمْ نَضْرَةَ النَّعِيمِ
 ﴾ 24 ﴿ You will recognize (Ta'rifu) the splendour (Nad'rata) of Bliss (En'Naeem) in (Fii) their faces (Wujuuhi-him').
  ٢٥ يُسْقَوْنَ مِنْ رَحِيقٍ مَخْتُومٍ
 ﴾ 25 ﴿ They will be given to drink (Yas'qaw'na) from (Min) sealed (Makh'tuum) nectar (Rahiiqin),
  ٢٦ خِتَامُهُ مِسْكٌ ۚ وَفِي ذَٰلِكَ فَلْيَتَنَافَسِ الْمُتَنَافِسُونَ
 ﴾ 26 ﴿ whose conclusion (Khitaamu-hu) is of musk (Mis'kun); and (Wa) so let (Fal') the competitors (El'Mutanaafisuun) compete (Yatanaafasi) for (Fii) that (Zaalika).
  ٢٧ وَمِزَاجُهُ مِنْ تَسْنِيمٍ
 ﴾ 27 ﴿ And (Wa) its mixture (Mizaaju-hu) is of (Min) fragrance (perfume) (Tas'niim);
  ٢٨ عَيْنًا يَشْرَبُ بِهَا الْمُقَرَّبُونَ
 ﴾ 28 ﴿ as a spring (Äi'nan) from which (Bihaa) those nearby (El'Muqarrabuun) will drink (Yash'rabu).
  ٢٩ إِنَّ الَّذِينَ أَجْرَمُوا كَانُوا مِنَ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا يَضْحَكُونَ
 ﴾ 29 ﴿ Indeed (Inna), those who (Ellaziina) acted wrong (Aj'ramu') used to (Kaanu’) laugh at (Yad'hakuun Min) those who (Ellaziina) believed (Aamanu').
  ٣٠ وَإِذَا مَرُّوا بِهِمْ يَتَغَامَزُونَ
 ﴾ 30 ﴿ And (Wa) whenever (Izaa) they (the wrongful) passed by them (Marru' Bihim'), they would wink at each other (Yatagaamazuun).
  ٣١ وَإِذَا انْقَلَبُوا إِلَىٰ أَهْلِهِمُ انْقَلَبُوا فَكِهِينَ
 ﴾ 31 ﴿ And (Wa) whenever (Izaa) they turned (Enqalabuu') to (ilaa) their people (Ah'li-himu), they would return (Enqalabu') teasing (Fakihiin).
  ٣٢ وَإِذَا رَأَوْهُمْ قَالُوا إِنَّ هَٰؤُلَاءِ لَضَالُّونَ
 ﴾ 32 ﴿ And (Wa) whenever (Izaa) they saw them (the believers) (Ra'aw'hum'), they would say (Qaaluu'), "Indeed (Inna), these people (Haaulaai) are (La) lost (Doalluun),
  ٣٣ وَمَا أُرْسِلُوا عَلَيْهِمْ حَافِظِينَ
 ﴾ 33 ﴿ for (Wa) there are no (Maa) guardians (13:11) (Haafiziin) sent (Ur'silu') over them (Älai'him')."
  ٣٤ فَالْيَوْمَ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مِنَ الْكُفَّارِ يَضْحَكُونَ
 ﴾ 34 ﴿ So (Fa) today (El'Yaw'ma), those who (Ellaziina) believed (Aamanu') are laughing at (Yad'hakuun Mina) the disbelievers (El'Kuffaari),
  ٣٥ عَلَى الْأَرَائِكِ يَنْظُرُونَ
 ﴾ 35 ﴿ observing (Yanzuruun) on (Älaa) couches (El'Araa'iki).
  ٣٦ هَلْ ثُوِّبَ الْكُفَّارُ مَا كَانُوا يَفْعَلُونَ
 ﴾ 36 ﴿ Have (Hal') the disbelievers (El'Kuffaaru) been rewarded (Thuwwiba) for what (Maa) they have been (Kaanu') doing (Yaf'äluun)?(SRV - 83:9, 83:20)
